Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account: your email address and, optionally, your name.
• Item photos you capture or upload, used to identify and value items.
• Item data you create: names, brands, models, categories, condition, notes, serial numbers (kept private), and estimated values.
• Usage and diagnostic data needed to run and improve the app, including basic device information and crash reports.
• Marketplace connection data if you connect a marketplace such as eBay (authorization tokens; we do not store your marketplace password).
• Subscription status from the app store or our payment processor.

How we use your information

To identify items, estimate value and demand, generate listing drafts, provide your account and subscription, respond to support, and improve the accuracy and reliability of the service.

AI photo processing

To identify an item, your photo is sent from our secure backend to our AI provider (OpenAI) to recognize the item and generate item information. Photos are processed only to power your scan. We do not sell your photos, and we do not use them to train AI models. See our AI & Valuation Disclaimer for how estimates work.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your photos with advertisers.
• We do not use your content to train AI models.
• We do not use cross-app tracking or serve advertisements.

Service providers we share with

• OpenAI — AI identification and listing generation (processes photos and item text).
• Supabase — authentication, database, and encrypted file storage.
• Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and Stripe — subscription billing and entitlement.
• eBay — only if you connect it, to publish listings you approve.
• Sentry — diagnostics and crash reporting.
• We share only what each provider needs to perform its function. [Attorney: confirm the final provider list and each provider's data handling.]

Storage and security

Data is encrypted in transit. Item photos are held in a private storage bucket accessible only through short-lived signed URLs, and database access is restricted per user (row-level security). Serial numbers are stored privately and never shown in a listing.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is deleted promptly (see below). Minimal billing records may be retained where required by law. See our technical retention policy for details.

Your rights and choices

You can view and edit your items at any time, delete individual items, and delete your entire account and data from within the app (Profile → Delete Account) or at getqlyp.app/account-deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability). Account deletion

Deleting your account permanently removes your Vault, photos, drafts, tags, and connected marketplaces, and revokes marketplace access. Deleting your Qlyp account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription — cancel that separately in your store settings.

Children

Qlyp is a general-audience tool and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

International users

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
